Contract Updates

As your collective bargaining representative, Local 881 negotiates the provisions of your contract with your employer and then you have the final say through a vote. Your Union contract outlines a wide range of issues, including: guaranteed wages and increases, a grievance and arbitration procedure, guaranteed minimum hours, vacations, holidays, health and retirement benefits, seniority rights, discipline procedure, and much more. Your Local 881 Union Representative is available to answer your questions, keep you informed, investigate issues, and enforce your contract to protect your rights.

Jewel Contract Negotiations Update | March 28, 2017

Local 881 UFCW has been engaged in ongoing contract negotiations with your company. While much progress has been made, we are still working through wage and health care issues.

The Local 881 Collective Bargaining Committee has several dates set for more negotiations with your Employer in April. Your Union and Employer have signed a contract extension letter. By having a contract extension, all provisions of your current contract will remain in full force and effect.

Your Union is committed to negotiating a fair and equitable contract on your behalf and we will continue to protect your wages, benefits, and working conditions.

As information becomes available, we will keep you informed of any major updates as we proceed through the negotiations process. Please be sure that Local 881 has your correct address information to ensure that you do not miss out on important information or ratification materials.
